Judiciary Challenges and Advocates.

The legal profession, especially the role of advocates, holds a prestigious position worldwide. Advocates are revered as the highest class of professionals who bring about revolutionary changes in the legal landscape. In this world, an advocate is a person well-versed in the law, who listens to and assesses legal matters before presenting them in court for resolution.

To become a judge, an individual usually starts their career as a skilled advocate, demonstrating the necessity of excelling in both roles. However, the relationship between the Bar (advocates) and the Bench (judges) is not as harmonious as in developed countries.

Advocates are often stereotyped with the saying, "Lawyers lie," but in reality, the truth is far from that. While clients may present certain versions of events, an advocate is bound to present their client's side in court, emphasizing their viewpoint to the judge.

In contrast, other professions enjoy various benefits, but advocates in India seem to be deprived of such privileges. Even police officers are exempt from tolls and receive multiple benefits, but advocates are overlooked by the government.

The negligence towards the legal profession can have severe consequences for the judiciary system. If advocates decide to abandon the court, justice will be compromised, and the judicial system will suffer.

Moreover, the conduct between advocates and other employees in various departments seems hostile, and higher authorities are unable to control this issue. Despite being considered the elite class of professionals, the legal profession is facing challenges, leading to frustration within the judiciary system.

The situation is complicated as advocates are regarded as officers of the court, and the bench is responsible for implementing their arguments. However, there is a disconnect in this process, causing friction between the two parties.

The judicial system's functionality relies not only on judges but also on the cooperation between advocates and the judge's staff. It is essential for advocates and judges to come together to resolve issues and maintain a productive working environment.

In conclusion, the dynamics between the judiciary and advocates are intricate and require careful attention from all stakeholders. The legal profession, being the backbone of the justice system, needs reforms and collaboration between advocates, judges, and administrative bodies. Only through concerted efforts can we ensure a robust and efficient judiciary that upholds the principles of justice and fairness in society.
